READ/HEAR THE WORD

Ingredients are components of mixture or compound. They are added to something for more effectiveness. What makes a prayer to be fervent and effectual ? Your prayer must be active and alive, Prophet Peter how do you mean ? Alive in the sense that it has to carry the word of God and his Spirit. The bible says the spirit quickeneth which also means the hoyghost can make a prayer alive. A complaining prayer point shows how dead it is. Children of God, we must learn to involve the lord when we pray for it is only him who can guide us and make our prayers be acceptable by himself - The Lord!
The 1st ingredient of Prayer is including the word of God in it and his Spirit when Praying. To go ahead and pray when the lord is not a part of it, will result in nothing! Totally, it will not be able to do anything which it was meant for. Just as the lord requires a man to pray fervently, such a man has to be standing in the position where his connection with God is not obstructed. Free of distraction and anything within the individual that hinders prayers - Examples can be seen in the bible as unforgiveness, grudge, hate in the heart and so on. The 2nd ingredient is called efficiency; there is a skill to prayer, you have to be organized and speak with the lord in complete focus. This means the prayer must have in it what it takes to produce result and that is the will of God plus the faith required. Doubt is what makes a prayer inefficient and you should not be in such state when communicating with the lord even before you start to pray. [James 1:7, GW Translation - A person who has doubts shouldn’t expect to receive anything from the Lord]. Faith is very important in our work with God and cannot be overlooked. The base to stand upon when praying at any time and it cannot fail is THE WORD OF GOD. He has declared that his word cannot return void and he magnifies his word much more than his name.
